What is reverse cycle air conditioning?

Reverse cycle air conditioning will give you complete control over your living environment, whether you opt for a reverse cycle ducted system or a gas ducted heater with add on cooling.
There are two types of reverse cycle air conditioning, One is a ducted refrigerated system and the other is a gas ducted heater with add on cooling. These systems provides you with a few modes to select from so that you can create the perfect indoor climate all year round. You can be warm and snug in winter and delightfully cool in summer.

How does it work?

Refrigerated air conditioning systems draw air through a return air grille, where it is filtered and passed through a refrigeration coil to be conditioned—either heated or cooled. The conditioned air is then distributed through ducting to various rooms in your home.

During summer, the system absorbs heat from the air inside your home and releases it outside. It also reduces humidity through dehumidification, ensuring comfort even on the hottest and stickiest days.

Whole-Home Comfort & Zoned Solutions
Refrigerated air conditioning systems can provide consistent heating and cooling for your entire home year-round. For added efficiency, zoning options allow you to separate your home into sections, such as “day” and “night” areas. This enables you to cool the living spaces during the day and bedrooms at night—reducing unnecessary energy use and lowering running costs.

Choosing the Right System for Your Home
Selecting the right-sized system is critical to achieving optimal comfort and efficiency. An undersized system may struggle to meet your needs, running continuously and costing more in energy bills. Conversely, an oversized system can cause short cycling, poor humidity control, and excessive power consumption.

At McCluskey Heating & Cooling, we ensure you get the perfect system tailored to your home’s size and requirements.
